After Today, every day brighter.
The winter soltice is the longest night of the year and by that definition tommorow begins the long climb through the vernal equinox towards the summer solstice - that is - every day from today is a little bit longer. Today is the annual hump day. The solstice marks the official beginning of winter and the is oft celebrated throughout history. Saturnalia, the Roman celebration of Phonicean origin, is how we recieve our modern day Christmas in the western hemisphere. The classic celebration of Solstice across the globe has been to light a bon-fire: To hold the long night at bay, to honor the year spent and to provide a beacon for weary travellors on their way towards longer days. Fire has always been the sign of warmth, knowledge and adventure. Join us in carryin the fire by lighting your own bonfire tonight and future nights and comment or post a pic of those fires below. *** Happy #soltice and #merrychristmas from @wanderlosttoday. #carrythefire with us at www.wanderlost.today
